Duration: 4 months | Design Showcase: NABA Milanomifamale

I had the honor of participating in Milan Design Week with an interactive exhibit at the NABA Milanomifamale design showcase in Italy. Participants picked one location out of 100 interesting areas around Milan, and designed for their selected space.
My colleague and I created an interactive lights and music exhibit, Dancing lanterns and synchronizing beats in Milan’s Chinatown. We built a lantern that used a projector, webcam, and bluetooth technology to allow for interaction based on movement and SMS, and we went on-location to Chinatown to test its interaction with the locals. Our exhibit at the design showcase included this lantern as well as an interactive demo of our Synchronyzing Beats application. I created the posters below to illustrate our concepts.
